Happy Day!
My baby is coming home from college today and I'm so excited! I haven't seen him in over a month, since Labor Day weekend. After this visit I won't see him again until Thanksgiving. :-( He's bringing home the bar stools from his apartment so that I can reupholster them. Fun, huh? At least I stopped him from bringing home all the dining chairs as well! I guess I know what I'll be doing over the Thanksgiving break.....

Enjoy the visit! Isn't it pathetic to be so excited to see them? My little one moved away to college in June 2000, and I still look forward to her trips "home". I apparently need a life. I don't need another reupholstery project, though..... Everything has a price, doesn't it?

I can relate to your feelings, my oldest dd is a sophomore in college. I still get so excited when she comes home. Have fun.
Gigi this was SO funny and touching to read! Recently, I was at my daughter’s dance studio, and a star pupil had stopped in who just started his freshman year in the performing arts program at SUNY - he looked and sounded so different and grown up! I love seeing kids the very first time they come back home after their first new months or a semester at college - they seem to grow up a year in just a few months. It reminds me of that exciting rush of experiences and influences I felt when I was that age. And of course - a cooler hairstyle is always part of the home coming package...along with the big bag of laundry.
He is very cute! Enjoy your time together.

Haha, some things never change! He's been home since Friday and I've hardly seen him - just like when he was still living at home. :-)
He's cut his hair very short. What will he do with all of those cans of Murray's hair wax? That's what he used to make his hair stick out like that, Ann.
